Who are we (detailed)?
  • Members of a Rotary Club are a diverse group of professional and business leaders working to address various community and international service needs and to promote peace and understanding throughout the world.
  • Altona City Rotary Club was formed on 26th March 1987 with 30 charter members and former Altona Mayor, Les Crofts OAM, as its Charter President. We are part of Rotary International, a world-wide organisation of over 30,000 clubs, and 1.2 million neighbours, friends, and community leaders.We are also part of "Rotary District 9800," a group of 70+ clubs encompassing the Melboure CBD, sorrounding Bayside suburbs and Country clubs that stretch as far as Echuca Moama on the Murray River.
  • Members are dedicated to serve the local and international community on a voluntary basis, with the intention of also sharing fellowship with a network of friends and colleagues in other Rotary clubs.
  • The Club is keen to attract new members, with fresh ideas, to increase our opportunities to do bigger and better things in the community.
