INTERNATIONAL SERVICE PROJECTS
Whenever there is a disaster in Canada or other parts of the world, the Rotary Club of Walkerton provides funds and support. Recently, funds for Red Cross for the Hurricane in Atlantic Canada, Ukraine, Haiti Earthquake, Floods in British Columbia and ongoing, annual support for ShelterBox Canada.
ShelterBox Canada
We proudly support ShelterBox Canada, providing emergency shelter and tools for families who have lost everything to disaster or conflict. ShelterBox aid is often the difference between despair and recovery for displaced families.
Jubilee Acres – Food Grains Project
In collaboration with local farmers, we support international hunger relief through the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. This initiative transforms local harvests into food aid and agricultural training overseas.
Hand Up – Guatemala Project
Hand Up is a District 6330 Rotary initiative supporting sustainable development in Guatemala, including clean water systems, maternal health programs, and education.
Aquabox – Clean Water Kits
Through the Rotary Club of Stratford Foundation, we help send Aquabox kits to crisis zones, providing safe drinking water and hygiene essentials.
Polio Eradication (RI & World’s Greatest Meal)
Our club supports global polio eradication efforts through Rotary International’s "End Polio Now" campaign and special fundraising events like the "World’s Greatest Meal."
Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) – Annual Fund
We recognize outstanding community service and contribute to The Rotary Foundation’s Annual Fund, which supports global humanitarian grants.
