Operation Halloween is a wholesome family-fun event provided for our communities by the Rotary Clubs of Southern Ocean County in conjunction with the Boy Scouts of the Jersey Shore Council. It is scheduled from 4 pm – 10 pm on Friday Oct 25th and Saturday, Oct 26th at the Joseph A. Citta Scout Reservation in Brookville. (Rain Date is Sun., Oct 27th from 4 pm to 9 pm if one of these dates are cancelled.)

Activities planned include a “non-scare” Hayride, a safe Trick-or-Treat Walk, bouncy houses, a “scare” Hayride, and a Zombie Outbreak Maze. Various types of food will be sold, along with organization displays/demonstrations and other Halloween activities, such as Pumpkin Face Painting, Face Painting, Hay Maze and Scare Crow Making.

There is no entrance fee for Operation Halloween’s Pumpkin St. (trick-or treat,hay maze, games), but a $15 access ticket is needed for the “safe” Hay Ride & Bouncy Houses from 4 pm – 6 pm for each day. $15 access ticket is needed for the “scare” Hay Ride & Zombie Outbreak Maze for each day.

While the main purpose of Operation Halloween is to provide a wholesome
family-fun activity, groups are welcome to utilize this event as a fund raiser by – Distributing Discount Coupons ($5 discount off access ticket)

Groups may sponsor a booth for selling items and providing a wholesome activity (ex – face painting, game), retaining any profit they earn &/or produce a Hay Ride Scare.

Businesses may also participate by donating their sales profit to a non-profit organization of their choosing.

Operation Halloween Volunteer Helpers are needed to serve in various
ways in the event, such as set-up, clean-up & in the Zombie Maze (actors, makeup
artists & construction workers).
