Barnegat Rotary Club Donates $30,000 to Local Causes in a Record-Breaking Year
As we wrap up another incredible fiscal year, the Barnegat Rotary Club is proud to announce that we have donated $30,000 to support over 20 local community causes. Our mission to give back to the community remains stronger than ever.
“Giving back to the community is what we’re all about,” said Charles Cunliffe, our Public Relations Officer. And this year, we’ve truly lived up to that promise.
Among our major contributions were:
- 10 scholarships awarded to deserving graduates
- Providing 50 Thanksgiving dinners and 25 Easter meals to local families in need
- Supporting the Christmas Elf Gift Program
- Sponsoring Barnegat National Night Out and the Barnegat Volunteer Fire Co.
But that’s not all. Our contributions extended to many other worthy organizations, including:
- Boy Scouts Jersey Shore Council
- Meals for the Waretown Methodist Church
- Starve Poverty International
- Family Promise
- Arc of Ocean County
- ReClam the Bay
- The Reynolds Family Foundation
“Barnegat Rotary is one of the most meaningful clubs I have ever had the chance to be part of,” Cunliffe added. “The members are an amazing group of altruistic individuals who go above and beyond to serve their community. I hope people will try to find out more about us and join our club.”
