Plunket Needs Some Help Please
My name is Robyn Faire and I am the Volunteer Coordinator for Pedal For Plunket, an amazing fundraising event organised by The Warehouse to raise funds for Plunket playgroups. As a part of Pedal For Plunket, many of The Warehouse stores around Auckland are doing sausage sizzles on Saturday the 7th and Saturday the 14th of March. I am desperately needing helpers to man the BBQs where Plunket volunteer numbers are low. Plunket is urgently seeking volunteers to run the sausage sizzle at the following The Warehouse stores this Saturday the 7th of March from 10am-3pm - Westgate, Manukau, St Lukes and Clendon.
The sausage sizzles on the 7th of March are definitely the priority but if any of your members are only available to help following weekend instead that would also be very helpful. We also looking for volunteers to run the BBQ's the following Saturday the 14th 10am-3pm at the following stores: Whangaparoa, Westgate, Henderson, New Lynn, Mt Roskill, Botany Downs and Clendon.
If you would like to support Plunket by volunteering your time and helping to run the BBQ at one of The Warehouse stores on Saturday the 7th or 14th of March from 10am-3pm, please email your contact details to robyn.faire@plunket.org.nz or let Jacqui know in the office.
A bit about Pedal For Plunket:
Plunket and The Warehouse are raising funds for Plunket Playgroups through their fundraiser "Pedal For Plunket". With the first event date less than a week away we still have many volunteer spaces to fill and would greatly appreciate you support! The Warehouse is gearing up to take to the roads of New Zealand raising much needed funds for Plunket’s Playgroups. Pedal For Plunket launches on the 4th of March in Cape Reinga and comes all the way down the country ending in Bluff on the 17th of March. The Warehouse stores all over the country will be celebrating this event in store as well, with 18 stores in the Northern Region holding BBQs between Wednesday the 4th of March and Saturday the 14th of March. Most of these stores will also have staff clocking up the kilometres on static bikes in store too. Volunteers are needed to run the BBQs and collect donations in store. Volunteers on the BBQ (sausage sizzle) will be responsible for set up and pack up of the BBQ equipment (all equipment and ingredients will be provided at each store), food preparation, cooking the sausages, sales, and following health and safety guidelines.
