Shelterboxes for the Phillipines
For those concerned about the effects of Typhoon Hagupit on the Philippines, ShelterBox, which is a Global Rotary Partner, has pre-positioned 1,000 tents and 400 ShelterBoxes to help displaced families. The Club after the Indonesian Tsunami raise significant funds for ShelterBox. In in recent years the Club has focused its efforts on the ERKs (Emergency Response Kits) programme which is now being led by our Past President Don Bendall. We now have Club member Bonnie Boyle as our Shelterbox Club Champion and Bonnie is keen to engage with any member interested in the work of ShelterBox.
