AT OUR CLUB June 29, 2021 – President Krysta passes the Gavel to Incoming President Jim Madder

Today, President Krysta Logozzo Daniele chaired then passed over her gavel and bell to incoming President Jim Madder, in a great celebration for a very fine year of leadership, spirit and meaningful Rotarian team work, all for service and fellowship.

39 or more Rotarians and guests zoomed in including from the Logozzo family (Aunt Maria Hudolin, spouse Frank Daniele, parents Sam and Donna Logozzo and sister Jessica) as well as ADG Dan Brown, PDG Debra Warner and DG Bob McLean.

Following welcomes, national anthem and land acknowledgement, Krysta took the spotlight and graciously thanked visiting District members, Club and family for their support in her busy year.

A special mention went out to:
1. Chris Bailey (and Sue) treasurer in a challenging year.
2. Bill Everitt: solid leadership in fundraising, membership, programming and more.
3. Rod Morrison: strong leadership in many areas including success and innovation in membership.
4. Dave Silliman: Carol Sing and  Dew Drop Inn lead and overall "spiritual" leadership.
5. Brian Walmark: Chair of the very successful and challenging Rotary Radio Family Day.
6. ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR Kevin Holloway: overall leader in all things tech – producing many successful events - also Chair of Allocation Committee and great trombone player.  Congratulations also, Kevin was District 5580 Rotarian of the Year.
7. The Board of Directors with special thanks to departing members Steve McAuley and Mike Nitz

PRESENTATION - "A Great Year in Review"

Kevin Holloway largely compiled and Rod Morrison narrated a year in review with many tributes from members in the Club and District on a theme showing how effective Krysta's leadership was. Inspiring quotes from other leaders in history were apt: her successes were tangible, have lasting impact and were done delivered with humility, charm and devotion to Rotary ideals.  Two of many proud moments are shown:  Krysta as MC of the successful 2018 District 5580 Conference and at a polio immunization clinic in India.

Musical Interlude - Kevin Holloway's rollicking lyrics to a Rotary Sea Shanty was sung and performed by our own Sea Shanty Band, adding a charming element.  It was lots of fun ending with a sing-a-long.

The Rotary Bell and Gavel was virtually handed over to Jim at the conclusion of the celebration.

Bill Everitt collected Happy Dollars and gave the fun birthday greetings for the month.

Don’t Forget:

1.    Membership renewals are due June 30th!   (Jim Madder).
2.    Catch the Ace: Week 14 sees the jackpot at $12,500. Our Kids Count received a distribution of $4,144 (Albert Brulé). The program has very good momentum
