13 Pairs of Boots or a walk around Australia in 1974

In 1974 at the age of 17 I walked around Australia with my father. Dad had been a Country Rep for UBD Maps and had seen a lot of road kill where the mother still had a joey either in the pouch or close by. He started bring them home and it sparked a desire to open a series of animal sanctuaries. The walk was organized as a way of financing that endeavor. It took a while, but I have written a book about the Walk called 13 Pairs of Boots. I have done a few talks since writing and think I’m now ready to talk to a Rotary Club. There were many challenges on the Walk, great amounts of Humour and a great sense of Adventure. I have been in Business all my life and will bring to my talk, one of the greatest strengths in Business; Perseverance.
