Men Who Cook

Men Who Cook is KCCC's favorite fund raising event. The Men Who Cook committee, led by KCCC Past President Jim Simpson, has set April 20th at 6pm as the date and time for this years event. The venue is the Grand Ballroom of the Clarion Hotel at 3032 Richmond Rd., in Williamsburg.  We have asked local leaders and distinguished men of our community to share their cooking talents with our guests. Each year we ask 24~28 cooks to prepare a dish of their choice and "invite" betwee 220 and 240 guests. The format is a tasting. Each cook serves a heaping tablespoon of their offering. Past selections have included County Pate, Chesapeake Style Crab-less Cakes, Maggie's Cole Slaw, Chicken Parmesan, Tiny Noni's Stuffed Shells, Manicotti, Chicken Paella, and Sweet Potato Pie.  Tickets are $40 each and are available by contacting a Club member or emailing the club at colonialkiwanis@gmail.com. Tickets are limited so it's recommended to buy early. A drink ticket, raffle ticket, and electronic recipe booklet are included in the ticket price. Additional beverages can be purchased.

The event is an opportunity to enjoy a night out, meet a local dignitary outside of their home or office, have a good time, and eat some tasty food. Procedes from the event go to the Colonial Capital Williamsburg Kiwanis Foundation.
