Cancelled Highway Cleanup- to be rescheduled

The club has voted to continue cleaning up our section of the Highway which is a committee under our Programs Pillar and helps with our Public Awareness (signs posted EB and WB on I-80 through town). And now it sounds as though our club will receive a bonus of up to $250 for each cleanup day! 

This means we need your help. 

Please mark your calendars as our next Highway Cleanup will be Friday, August 12,2022.

Generally, we meet at 8:00 and are finished before noon, and often go out for lunch to celebrate.

Meet in Wild Cherries Car Park for orientation and gear. We provide all the necessary tools and protective gear (vests, hardhats, pickers, bags, etc) Just bring your own work gloves and mask!

Why ?: We have volunteered to keep our section of I80 litter-free. Twice a year we do pickup and in return, we have signs promoting SITD on the freeway in both directions

What's in it for me? Joining with friends you haven't been able to socialize with- making a difference in our community- keeping our sign on the freeway promoting SITD

At the end? those who can stop a little longer will get lunch or a drink, depending on the time, and enjoy being able to relax and chat together...
