Salvador Rizzo Tavares is a Mexican who founded and has been leading as CEO since 1987 of the RIZZO Group, which specializes in developing technological solutions for private companies and governments. For 29 years, he was the most important wholesaler in Latin America in the sale of office equipment, with a presence in 20 countries.

He was the creator of the technological model “Aula Inteligente^®”, used to equip more than 120,000 classrooms in public elementary education schools in Mexico. Additionally, he collaborated with INTEL^® in the development of the first student laptop, "Classmate^®", which sold over 200,000 units in Latin America.

Salvador joined Rotary in 1989 at the age of 27 and is an active member of the Rotary Club of Monterrey Carlos Canseco, serving as president in 2002-2003 and 2011-2012, District Governor of 4130 District in 2009-2010, and Rotary Coordinator in 2015-2018.

He has led 5 global grants addressing issues related to eating disorders, and environmental matters, and providing equipment to hospitals and public schools.

In his Rotary life, he has primarily focused on three aspects: connecting Rotarians across clubs, cities, and countries; actively engaging young professionals in Rotary beyond their local club through workshops and forums in several Latin American countries; and providing training to enhance understanding of Rotary. To do that, he was the founder of the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) in 11 countries, leading it for 10 years. Additionally, he served as a Training Leader at the IA in 2020 and 2021. In 2014-2015, he was a member of the World Committee for New Generations.

He will serve as a Director of Rotary International and a member of the RI Board for the 2024-2026 term.

Salvador and his partner, Esmeralda, are Rotary Foundation Major Donors, Benefactors, Paul Harris Fellows, and Bequest Society.

In his free time, Salvador enjoys watching various sports, has played soccer and golf, and has completed several marathons.

He has three children: Anna María, Salvador, and Paulina, and three grandchildren: Enrique, Regina, and Santiago.
