Walking Group goes to Studley Park boathouse

On this month’s walk, organised by Judy Stinson, the route will take us along a not often seen, quite pretty party of the Yarra river to the newly refurbished and recently reopened Studley Park boathouse.  There we will enjoy morning tea overlooking the river. The walk from the starting point to the boathouse is approximately 3.2kms, and the return walk approximately 2kms. The path is up hill and down dale (in other words not completely flat) and mostly unmade, but should be OK for most members with a reasonable level of walking fitness.

We will meet at precisely 10am at the entrance to Victoria Park football ground, corner Lulie and Turner St Abbotsford on the opposite side of Victoria Park railway station when you are travelling from the city. Photo above.

Those travelling by train can catch the Mernda and Hurstbridge line train to Victoria Park station coming from Flinders St platform 1 or Southern Cross platform 9.

A booking will be made for morning tea at the Studley Park boat house for those who accept the invite.
