After 5 Past President and retired Escondido Police Officer, Al Owens, was front and center at Tip for Brett Fundraiser.

On Saturday, August 29th, Al and Kristina gathered with family and friends to raise funds for Brett Byler and his family at the Sierra Madre Cantina in Escondido.  Juan MagaƱa, owner of Sierra Madre Cantina donated 10% of the day's proceeds and 100% of tips to Escondido PD Officer and retired Marine Brett, who is suffering from an aggressive form of brain cancer.  The volunteers were there early setting up tents, tables and chairs for everyone to enjoy a delicious meal of Fajitas and their favorite beverages.  There was a terrific turnout for a fun time, raffles, and good company in support of one of our front line heroes.  A big Thank You to Al and the crew for all the hard work and exhibiting a great example of Service Above Self.  After 5 is happy to be one of the sponsors, along with Owens Training and Consulting, Skaja Lister Daniels and Permito, and Sierra Madre Cantina.  Donations can still be made on Brett's go fund me page:   https://www.gofundme.com/f/byler-family  @Rotary_5
