This weeks Luncheon will be our last luncheon meeting of the year. This week our guest for our luncheon will be The Boys and Girls Club of the Rockford area. They have a tremedious program to help boys and girls in our area becoming potential future leaders.
In every community, boys and girls are sometimes left to find their own recreation and companionship wherever that may be and sometimes that means at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them.
The Boys & Girls Club of Rockford offers that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of our youth by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for youth in our community, regardless of sex, race or economic background.
Our core programs engage young people in activities that enable them to reach their full potential. Based on the interests and needs of the youth we serve, clubs offer diverse program activities in three areas: Academic Success, Good Character and Leadership Development, and Healthy and Life Styles.
Boys & Girls Clubs are a safe place to learn and grow all while having fun
