Service Project @ Feeding America
San Diego Coastal Rotary invites you to join us for a volunteer project at the Feeding America San Diego warehouse on Wed, Jan 25th at 6pm.
Volunteers must wear close-toed shoes as we will be working in a warehouse. Depending on what is needed at the time, volunteers are typically asked to help with the following tasks:
- Filling bags with fresh produce to be later delivered to children in need
- Sorting food that has been pulled from grocery store shelves to prevent it from reaching the landfill and instead into the hands of families in need
- Repacking bulk product received by Feeding America
Feeding America San Diego helps feed more than 16,000 children, families and seniors in our local community every week! They are always accepting food donations and volunteers are welcome to bring any donations from with them.
