We had an amazing trip to Ranchos de Los Ninos Orphanage, an orphanage supported by the Corazon de Vida Foundation in Valle de la guadalupe, Baja, Mexico. Roughly 20 volunteers from the San Diego Coastal Rotary Club and one of the Bay Area Rotary Clubs split into 3 groups. One group prepared lunch, and another facilitated arts & crafts activities for the kids, while another group painted rooms in the dormitories. After a rewarding day of work, we enjoyed the view from one of the wineries in the valley and had a delicious meal at a local restuarant. We stayed the night at a hotel in Ensanada and spent our Sunday on the beach playing volleyball and soaking up the sun before returning home to San Diego/San Francisco. Everyone had a great time and their hard work was much appreciated! Thank you to the numerous Rotarians who either participated in or supported this great project! A special thank you goes out to Tom Bierman and the Corazon de Vida Foundation for coordinating!
