Our First Little Free Library
SD Coastal Rotary is officially ready to launch our first Little Free Library!
Thank you to the countless members and friends who've helped us make this happen for our community. Most notably, thank you to Kara for all your hard work bringing this idea to life and coordinating every detail including the collecting of the hundreds of books, Chris, hobby carpenter and our club's president, who designed and constructed the first library, and Mari who helped us secure our first location. Thank you to the numerous other individuals who donated their books, money, and time.
Our first library will live in the La Jolla Colony Park, across the street from our meeting location at Leucadia Pizza. It can be found at the North Side of the park, under the pergola between the park and the Verano complex, giving readers a wonderful view while encouraging more foot traffic to this section of the park. Be sure to stop by the neighborhood and check it out. In the meantime, we've got a few photos of the project in progress below for you!
