To the Moon and Back – Aubrey Kyle - Workday

To the Moon and Back – Aubrey Kyle is a local (Bell County) NICU ministry that provides handmade comfort items to the babies and their families in the neonatal intensive care unit.  Having a baby in the NICU is a very scary experience.  The babies are so tiny and many have severe health issues they are battling.  

The items we donate are handmade hats, blankets, laundry bags, and several developmental items that where designed specifically for use with these tiny babies.  The service hours will be cutting out patterns from fabric, sewing, crocheting, knitting, embroidering, and finishing out the different items we donate.  

We will be teaching how to make the projects.

We will be concentrating on
-Cutting patterns -
-Some Sewing and finishing out items – embroidering, stuffing, putting cords on laundry bags, etc.

No experience or sewing skills are needed – lots of opportunities to help.  I will provide all materials.

If you have – please bring:
scissors, rotary cutters and mats, sewing machine, crochet hooks, embroidery hoops, red, black and yellow embroidery thread, soft yarn, baby flannel  

I’ll have plenty of snacks and drinks.  Feel free to bring your favorite beverage or snack of your choice.
