California Highway Patrol - A Community Partner

Jan’s education includes degrees in Child Development, Behavioral Sciences and Counseling Psychology.  And…still curious to understand “what makes people tick,” she continued her post graduate studies in the fields of Trauma and Crisis. She is a licensed Marriage Family Therapist (MFT).

Her titles have included Clinical Therapist, Trauma Specialist, Clinical Trainer, Director of Mental Health, CEO and an Educator.

Jan loves working with the community and has held seats on many advisory boards including San Diego County Mental Health and Rady Children’s Hospital.

When asked what she does for fun, she answered, “Work…The fun is in creatively working with others to accomplish or complement common efforts.”

Today, she is speaking to us as the new Event and Recruitment Coordinator for the California Highway Patrol, San Diego East County (680).

The title of the presentation is:

California Highway Patrol- A Community Partner

And their secret weapon…volunteers

We are going to share some things you might not know about the CHP in East County.  And how they use the Senior Volunteer Program.
