It's time to give special recognition to a deserving OAPSA member!  Every year at our OAPSA May Conference we present an OAPSA member with The Dr. John Opperman Outstanding Contribution Award.   Student Services and Special Education Directors are not accustomed to receiving praise and recognition. In fact, too often, we operate in the shadows until something goes awry.    Each one of us now has an opportunity to nominate one of our OAPSA  colleagues for some well-deserved recognition.    All completed nomination packets must be returned via email  to me by March 1, 2022.  The packet is available online at:  https://clubrunner.blob.core.windows.net/00000100906/en-ca/files/homepage/dr-opperman-award-nomination-form/The-2022-Dr.-John-Opperman-Outstanding-Contribution-Award.pdf

In an article about Kristina Hulse being the recipient of our prestigious  award last May, the author, Ellie Roberto explained "Hulse was honored to receive the nomination, but she believes that every special education administrator should be awarded for their accomplishments during the pandemic.  “Our students and staff need us more than ever and this is our time to make a difference in others' lives. We are all deserving of this award, due to the impact we have made,”  (That's a quote from Kristina)   If you would like to see that entire article here is the link:   https://www.cityscenecolumbus.com/communities/suburban-spotlight/Pickerington-administrator-awarded/

The Award from 2021 and the Award Packet for 2022  is pictured in the image below.  You will find that award packet with all the details about how to nominate an OAPSA member  in the attachment to this email message!    And check out what our OAPSA members are saying about our Award Program in the images below my signature area!  Remember that the deadline to submit a nomination packet is March 1, 2022.
