The Rotary Club of Petaluma was founded in 1923 and I have the honor of being the 102nd President. Our Club has a rich heritage in Petaluma and we are proud of the many positive impacts we have contributed over the years, including the Miracle League, the Polly Klaas Community Theater, and the Petaluma River Park. At the heart of Rotary are core values that guide every action and initiative we undertake. These values—service, fellowship, diversity, integrity, and leadership—form the foundation of our organization’s mission to foster positive change locally and globally. They inspire us to work together, across cultures and boundaries, to tackle the most pressing challenges facing humanity.
Rotary International’s areas of focus further define our efforts, providing a framework for sustainable projects that address critical issues. These areas include:
-
Promoting Peace
-
Supporting Education
-
Fighting Disease
-
Providing Clean Water
-
Saving Mothers and Children
-
Supporting Economic Development
-
Protecting the Environment
These areas of focus represent our commitment to making a lasting impact on the world, guided by ethical principles and a spirit of service. As members of the community, we invite you to join us in these efforts. Whether through volunteering, supporting local Rotary projects, or spreading awareness, your contribution can help create positive change and build a better future for all. Together, we can embody Rotary International’s values and work towards a world where peace and prosperity flourish. I encourage you to join our efforts.
Yours sincerely,
Richard Marzo
