THE ROTARY BARBEQUE PAVILLION
The Fall season of the Miracle League opened in September with the unveiling of the Petaluma Rotary Barbeque Pavillion. The event was actually highlighted by a picnic for Rotarians, their families and friends, The stylish, modern Pavillion was tastefully constructed under the leadership and guidance of former President Lee Raposa and fellow Rotarians. It has become an integral addition to the Miracle League facility, where players and their families enjoy the burgers and franks right off the grill.
Stop by and we’ll be there to serve!

ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

For several years now a group of Petaluma Rotarians and their friends join forces to display their golfing skills. This past September was no different when the golfing stalwarts congregated at the Petaluma Country Club, dressed in their finest for eighteen holes of match play.
Close to fifty golfers engaged in the fun filled day and it wasn’t long before the “duffers” and the “hackers” we’re separated from the diehards! ..........JUST CHECK THOSE SCORES!
The day culminated with an entertaining dinner at the Club, where the day’s exploits on the green were recognized. After all was said and done, nearly $6,600 was added to the treasury of the Rotary Club of Petaluma.

FIELD TRIP...REARED IN STEEL
One of the more memorable field trips the Rotary Club of Petaluma had last summer was our visit to REARED IN STEEL on Washington St., in Petaluma. As you drive by the most fascinating creatures in ‘Reared In Steel’ rise above the fenced in area... a true wonderment!
Once inside a tour of the facility by local artist Kevin Clark was all the more stimulating. Beside the unusual structures pictured below, our tour treated us to “things” that were being finalized for showing at Burning Man.
Burning Man is an annual event in Black Rock City, Nev. (100 miles from Reno). Thousands of people attend dedicated to the community, art self expression and self reliance.
And we got a peek in advance, right here in Petaluma!

Starting his year as President on July 7, 2019, Elias Husary will be shaking things up a bit.  Focusing on membership, community and building a stronger foundation of service to others!!!
