Our support for drought affected farmers
The club has been supporting the East Loddon Food Share for a number of years. We recently took part in a food packing day in which 288 food parcels were packed. This was  was funded by the club and District 9800. These packages are distributed to farming families throughout the region. Click here for a video from our facebook page
Progress Report
The MEC PROJECT has recently completed MEC Surgery on their 98th patient and is powering on as a great success story for our Club.
In this past year we have been able to have The MEC Project accepted under Rotary Australia World Community Service that allows for donations to the project to be Tax Deductible.   To make a donation    THE MEC Project,  No 40 of 2016 - 2017
Several members of the Club along with wives and partners travelled to Phnom Penh Cambodia recently to see first hand the project in action and the positive changes that this surgery makes to the children involved
The Natalia Project came about because of our connection with our Twin Club the Rotary Club of Phnom Penh and the MEC Project that we share in Cambodia
Natalia is afflicted by Neurofibromatosis and has a significant growth on the right side of her face and a significant deformity of her left leg both of which require surgery.   Natalia is 25 years old and lives in the village of Jayapura, West Papua, Indonesia.    Natalia's plight was discovered by a Dental Team working in the area,   Rachele Sleep, a Volunteer Nurse from the USA, working with the group, has been our liaison in seeking support for Natalia.
This Project aims to raise a minimum of $20,000 to bring her to Sydney, Australia, for Humanitarian Surgery.

Our changeover this week saw President Ken Longford, PHF, handing over the Club Charter to Greg Penno. This is the second time Greg has been President

The Club is currently supporting the Eveleigh Family from Bendigo in their quest to obtain an assistance dog due to her disability
