Paul Armstrong, Social Service Director, San Diego Regional Office

 

Bio:

Paul Armstrong is a native of Albuquerque New Mexico.  Upon graduation from college, he joined the United States Navy where he served as a Supply Corps Officer.  In preparation to become a Navy Chaplain, he transitioned from the Navy for a season where he served as the senior pastor for a non-denominational church in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He returned to the Navy as a Chaplain where he completed over twenty years of service.  After his retirement from the Navy, he joined The Salvation Army serving as San Diego County Social Service Director.  He oversees The Salvation Army’s work in homelessness, senior nutrition and social services at seven community centers.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of New Mexico.  He earned his Masters in Business Administration from Brenau University, Masters of Divinity from Bethel Seminary and his Masters in Social Work from University of Southern California.
