The D. Michael Stevens Memorial Fund

In Memory of Mike Stevens
In memory of Mike Stevens, a charter member of our club, we have created a Memorial Fund in his name in our Solana Beach Eco Rotary Club Foundation. The motion to establish this tribute to Mike, also known to many of us as Stog, reads in part “The Memorial Fund will serve as a testament to the impact D. Michael Stevens had on the lives of students and the physical education community at large. Through this Memorial Fund, we aspire to channel the spirit of generosity and compassion that he embodied, ensuring that his legacy lives on through meaningful contributions to causes aligned with his values”. We are including an article that appeared in the San Diego Union-Tribune on August 27th, 1997, that depicts a clear picture of his passion for coaching. Mike’s first love was his boys Zach and Matty followed closely by family and coaching. His love of life was infectious.
