The 2018 Wine and Food Festival was again a great event and a successful fundraising!
The Wine Festival has grown a lot over the years but the essentials; community fundraising , a variety of food from our local restaurants, spirits , and a visible recycling effort have remained constant. All of the food and spirits are donated. This year we had 19 charity partners 33 different food and desert vendors, 20 wineries , 12 micro breweries and spirit suppliers. We recycle between 65 & 70% of the waste from the event from our 18 recycling stations.
The Wine Festival committee anticipates donating to these 19 charity partners $100,000. The event could not reach these results without our generous support of our event sponsors, headed by Bixby Zane Ins $10,000, RWM home loans $5,000, Peterson & Price Law, Studio WC architects $3000 each and 15 local businesses at $1000 each. This unique Encinitas Rotary club fundraiser celebrated its 15th year and was ably assisted by Solana Beach Eco Rotary club.
