Ocean Connectors Connecting Youth for Conservation
Mandy Shefman

The Ocean Connectors' mission is to educate, inspire, and connect youth in underserved Pacific coastal communities through the study of migratory marine life. Our vision is to cultivate a future generation of passionate, globally-aware, and empowered coastal residents who take active steps to enjoy and protect ocean health.

Over the past 14 years, Executive Director, Frances Lang, has worked to provide environmental education to youth and continues to grow programming through the generosity of community and corporate partnerships, grants, sponsorships, and donations.

Mandy Shefman, Development Manager, will share about:

  • Ocean Connectors programs, who currently serve 5,000 students in National City and Nayarit, Mexico,
  • Positive impacts on students, the community, and the environment,
  • Ways to be involved that support the Ocean Connectors mission, including Eco Tours, which is a sustainable enterprise meaning 10% of all ticket proceeds for our Wildlife Kayaking, Bird & Biking, and Whale Watching directly contribute to the mission of Connecting Youth for Conservation.
