Florida Club's project in Sierra Madre
Bill Hamilton, Will Harlan & Carolyn Mudgette - Rotary Club St. Augustine Sunrise, Florida

Bill Hamilton, Will Harlan, and Carolyn Mudgette from the Rotary Club of St. Augustine Sunrise, Florida (District 6970) will discuss a project their Club undertook with a Club in Mexico and an NGO to allow the Indigenous Tarahumara people to continue their subsistence farming on the remote slopes and canyons of Mexico's Sierra Madre mountains. The grant was featured in the April 2021 Rotary Magazine.

The Rotary Foundation Global Grant to support Tarahumara communities in the Copper Canyons of Northern Mexico will fund seed grow-out farms, water systems, education programs, and a market component providing for farmers to sell some of their crops.
