Our special guest is Mark O'Connor of Surfrider. In the last two years, he has focused on the pollution caused by cigarette filters. Cigarette filters are made of cellulose acetate a form of plastic. He is an Ambassador with the SDSU’s Center for Tobacco and the Environment along with being a member of the San Diego Sierra Club’s sustainability committee. Mark is the current Chair of the Encinitas Environmental Commission.
