Kiwanis Concerns

Kiwanis thanks to Dave Jirrels, Storm Walmsley, Tad Patton, Lowell Westerman, Chad Merling and Al Richard for helping me feed the Key Clubbers at the Fall Training this past weekend, held at GC Memorial. Clubs from the area (Div. 28) and Beaumont (Div 10), enjoyed a hamburger feast. Thanks to Chad and Al for bringing their grilles too. A great time was had by all !! We may even be cooking at this year's Kiwanis Picnic !!! Joyce Pennington reported that they had a nice turnout of volunteers at the Oak Island Ike "Help-Out" this last weekend. They were joined by another group that brought bar-b-queue and a carnival for the kids. A lot of hard work was done helping clear trees and debris from their yards and get some sort of housing for them. It will be on-going, so if you can help, give Joyce a call. Good meeting today and a good turn-out. If you missed it, we will have another next week, same time , same place...!!
