The Kiwanis Club of Baytown recently made two donations supporting local organizations who provide valued services to our community. Above, representatives from the Baytown VFW Post 912 accept a sponsorship check for the upcoming Turkey Shoot scheduled for every weekend in October. The Turkey Shoot raised money to support the local VFW post, which is still recovering from damage done by Hurricane Harvey flooding in September 2017. Below Danny McWilliams of the Thin Blue Line Dog Project accepts a check to help defray the costs of training a service dog that will be presented to the family of a police officer who has passed away. Danny is working on training his second service dog after his first project was presented to a family in Michigan last December.
Presenting the checks are community service chairperson Linda Kelly and president Blake Cather.
