Passing the Gavel

 

Outgoing Kiwanis president Dave Jirrels, right, hands the traveling gavel to incoming president Russell Ballard during the recent Installation Banquet of the Baytown Kiwanis Club. The passing of the gavel has become an annual tradition as the club changes leadership. The traveling gavel sits on the presiding president's desk at work for one year as a constant reminder of the challenge he faces in leading our club through its next fiscal year.
