NASA Engineer Mesmerizes Kiwanians

Dr. Gary Kitmacher, a NASA engineer for over 30 years, presented an overview of the US space program to Kiwanis at our November 12 meeting. Dr. Kitmacher's projects at NASA include working on the Russian Mir Orbital Station and completing advanced concept design work for future moon bases and manned Mars' missions. He also served as subsystem manager for the space shuttle program and the current International Space Station. He presented NASA's vision for one day placing man on Mars and the need for further continuance of the exploration of space.
