Chuck Chandler, right, paid a visit to the Kiwanis Club of Baytown to talk about the early days of Baytown and his book, “Baytown (Images of America).” The book contains many facts and photos of Baytown origins and the city’s history. Using a slide show presentation, Chandler spoke about the Baytown’s early settlers, and the Goose Creek Oil Fields history and showed maps of a time before Baytown existed and during the days before the 1948 consolidation.
