Kroger Marketplace Opens in Baytown

David Himsel, general manager of the new Kroger Marketplace on Garth Road, was our guest speaker at the April 1 meeting. A life-long Baytown resident, David got his start in the O'Brien grocery store and has been employed by Kroger for over 30 years. David shared with us several facts regarding the Kroger brand across the nation (over 2700 stores in 38 states) as well as the newest technologies available at the new Baytown store. Of special interest to club members was the on-line ordering feature with drive-thru pick-up slated to begin later in April. The Kiwanis Club of Baytown welcomes Kroger Marketplace into our community.
