Scott Alfa from Natural Resources Conservation Services detailed his work with the agency dedicated to protecting and restoring the coasts of Galveston Bay. Topics covered by Scott included marsh restoration, colonial water bird island improvement, the use of dredge material to create intertidal marsh around the ship channel, the creation of living shore lines, and oyster shell recycling efforts.
