Kiwanis Finds New Home

After countless years meeting weekly at Goose Creek Country Club, the Kiwanis Club of Baytown moved to its new home - Luna's Restaurant - on Thursday, July 3, 2014. Traditional patriotic songs were sung as the club opened a new era in its existence in Baytown. The move to Luna's was necessitated by the recent closing of the country club after serving as a social meeting place for Baytown residents for 58 years. Officer elections for 2015 were held and the following Kiwanians were elected unanimously to serve in the upcoming year:

President- Dave Jirrels

President Elect - Russell Ballard

Vice President - Rene Rhodes

Secretary - Al Richard

Treasurer - Lowell Westerman

Asst. Secretary - John McMillon

Asst. Treasurer - Jim Giroir

Newly-elected two-year Board members are: Roxie Krisher, Roy Fuller, Rhonda Skaggs, Virginia Miller, Sandy Denson, and Eleanor Albon.
