Kiwanis Celebrates Apple Sale 2016

Blake Cather (left), the 2016-17 Kiwanis Club of Baytown President-Elect and 2016 Apple Sales Chair, presents the "big check" to current President Renee Rhodes to culminate the club's celebration ceremony at its weekly meeting on January 5th.

The club profited nearly $25,000 during the two-week sale in October-November. The annual apple sale is the Baytown club's signature project, raising money that is used to fund the club's contributions to local civic and non-profit organizations as well as provide funding to support five area Key Clubs, a K-Kids Club, and our Chamber of Commerce Partners in Education participation.

Great job to all the members who made this year's event a fun and profitable affair!
