Pastor Kevin Kleinhenz of Living Hope Church visited to the Kiwanis Club of Baytown on April 19 to promote the upcoming Cover the City Prayer Walk and provide an inspirational message of life lessons he has learned during his career as an Iron Man athlete. The Cover the City walk is the nation's longest one-day prayer walk that covers 40 miles around the perimeter of Baytown. It will start Saturday, May 5, at 7:00am and is designed to covering Baytown in prayer. Participants may choose to walk any number of miles, from one to forty. All participants who walk will receive a medal with additional stickers for the medal for every five miles covered. Information can be found at the website coverthecity.com.

Pastor Kleinhenz spoke about his bucket list item to run in a triathlon by the age of 40. He reached that goal two weeks prior to his 40th birthday by completing the Florida Iron Man event in Panama City Beach. He then set a goal to participate in the Iron Man World Championships in Hawaii and has accomplished that goal twice - in 2012 and 2017. During his inspirational talk, Kevin presented life lessons he has learned from his training and competitions. It was truly an honor to have Kevin speak at our meeting!
