The Kiwanis Club of Baytown teamed with Mrs. America USA to distribute over 1,000 backpacks to students in Goose Creek CISD who were effected by the flooding from Hurricane Harvey. Representing Mrs. America USA were, from left, Mrs. Arizona Rachelle Youngberg, Mrs. Michigan Jessica Mason-Froehlich, Mrs. Colorado Valerie Daly, Mrs. Oklahoma Emerald Stanley, and Mrs. Texas Sonia Segura. Kiwanis members participating in the distribution were Blake Cather, Stacie Fulton, Chad Merling, Beth Dombrowa, Renee Rhodes, Gary Englert, Al Richard, Harvey Oyler, Donna Mohlman, and Bernie Mulvaney. Also helping were the parents of Mrs. Colorado (mother pictured on far right). The club was pleased and happy that our community was chosen to receive support from Mrs. America USA!

While distributing backpacks to schools throughout Goose Creek CISD, representatives of Mrs. America USA take a break to enjoy Snowflake donuts. The ladies were exuberant in their praise of our famous local donut shop, claiming the treats to be the "best ever had!"

Showing support for the Kiwanis Texas-Oklahoma District, Mrs. America Oklahoma (left) and Mrs. America Texas (right) do their best "Price is Right" pose to show a carload of backpacks they would be delivering to schools in GCCISD during the Backpacks for Harvey campaign this week.
