The next generation was the subject of the day as Baytown Councilwoman Laura Alvarado presented
Babies in Baytown
The First Three Years to our Kiwanis group on April 30.Babies in Baytown focuses on creating resources and improving the mental health of very young children and their families through creating collaborations of community leaders, organizations and parents. BIB leads conversations that help community members make decisions and plans for investing in innovative ways to better help families with young children grow healthy minds and build healthy relationships with others in their community.
Did you know 85% of brain development happens by the time a child turns age 3? During these first 3 years of life, the brain is making connections that will become the foundation for all other learning. Babies in Baytown works to make those first 3 years the best possible for each child, despite financial, cultural or environmental barriers.
As Kiwanians, we understand how it is both impactful and encouraging to learn of programs aimed at the betterment of the next generation. We hope Babies in Baytown is able to achieve their mission each and every year! For more information about the program, https://first3yearstx.org/
