Become a Satellite Kiwanian!
Thank you for your interest in joining the Kiwanis Club of Baytown under the Satellite membership classification.
As a Satellite member, you will receive all privileges afforded to Traditional members without the obligation of attending the weekly lunch meeting. Of course, you are always welcome to attend the Thursday noon meetings when you have the opportunity by simply showing up. Your meal cost will be billed to you after you attend.
The purpose of the Satellite membership is to afford local adults who share the Kiwanis vision of "Serving the Children of the World" but cannot meet the weekly noon meeting obligation due to employment or other constraints.
Satellite members join the Baytown club (and are automatically members of the Texas-Oklahoma District and Kiwanis International) at a nominal application fee prorated at $12 per month until the next bi-annual dues charges.. After the application fee is processed, Satellites members have yearly dues of $140 paid in two equal payments of $70 (one in October and one in April). The yearly dues cover the annual membership fees for Kiwanis International and Texas-Oklahoma District.
