On Thursday, January 11, 2018, Lisa Derose visited the Salem Kiwanis Club. Lisa is the Principal at Southeast Elementary School in the Salem City School District. Lisa provided information about the school's Backpack Program where the kids are sent home with a backpack of food/drink on the weekends from September to June to help address need. Lisa discussed the basic needs of students that some just aren't getting and the approach they are taking to combat those issues. Congratulations to Lisa and her team on their efforts and continued attempts to help kids learn the best way possible.
