Salem Kiwanis Club

On April 16, 2016 Salem Kiwanis hosted Division 17 for a food packing project for the food pantry.  Salem Kiwanis members with some help from Key Club Members, family members and members from other Division 17 clubs packaged over 1300 meals for the food pantry.  50 pound bags of rice, beans and seasoning were combined to create a sealed ready to go Latin Rice meal for families in need.  Following the event, Kiwanis Ohio governor, Amy Zimmerman, joined the Clubs along with Division 17 Lt. Governor, Ron Lyness, for a reception.  At the reception, 2 Salem Club members, Melanie Thirion and Shawna L'Italien received Distinguished Service awards from the Governor.   Pictures show the packaging event and the following reception.
