Coal Mining

Gary Alkire of Rosebud Mining visited the Club on September 3 with his wife Rebecca.  Gary provided a great education on the coal mining industry.  He showed us the different kind of surface and underground mining.  He shared a great video showing the machines that are used in coal mining, the process and how things have changed over the years.  It was very interesting and educational.  Pictured is Gary Alkire along with Kiwanis member Speaker Chair for September, Lee Althouse and Club Treasurer, Roger Hack.
