Wade Tatangelo is a native of Hershey, Pennsylvania, who attended high school in Tampa and graduated from the University of South Florida. He created the column that would eventually be called "Bar Tab" while working as a correspondent for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune in 2003. Wade would continue writing about bars, restaurants, arts and entertainment for Maxim magazine, Tampa Bay Times, Creative Loafing Tampa Bay, OC Weekly in Orange County, California, and various other publications nationwide. Wade joined the Herald-Tribune as a staff writer in 2013 and was named entertainment editor in 2016. His duties include overseeing the weekly Food & Wine section and Ticket publication.
