In the Unites States alone, around 12 million children – that’s nearly one in six – live in poverty.
Globally, about 663 million children are deprived of one or more basic needs like food, shelter, safe drinking water, sanitation, healthcare or education. With a passionate consumer base and strong corporate and private sector partnerships, Comic Relief US has created a unique movement to address intergenerational poverty’s root causes through their Red Nose Day.
Seeing the similarities in the mission of Comic Relief US and the mission of Kiwanis, on May 26th, the Appleton Fox Cities Kiwanis joined others around the world and supported Red Nose Day to support their mission to end child poverty, one nose at a time.
