Appleton Fox Cities Kiwanis Holds Annual Inspirational Breakfast

On Friday, May 20th, the Appleton Fox Cities Kiwanis hosted their annual Inspirational Breakfast at Atlas Coffee Mill. It was a great morning to show our guests what Kiwanis is all about. Along with great fellowship during breakfast, Kiwanis presented a $1,000 check to the Community Early Learning Center, which is a multi-agency center that helps to ensure that by age 5, children of the Fox Valley have the foundation to achieve their full potential.

As part of the morning Kiwanis also celebrated the founders and early supporters of the Fox Valley Warming Shelter whose mission is that every person deserves a safe and warm place to stay.”  Scott Peeples, the Director of the Warming Shelter addressed the group with an update on the work of the shelter and shared success stories of past residents.
Renee Waterman, Club President presented Peeples with a $600 donation which will be used towards the shelters “One Day at a Time” program.
