On April 8th, the Appleton Fox Cities Kiwanis Club embarked on a new family tradition in the Fox Cities by coordinating the Inaugural Kids Expo held at Fox Valley Technical College. On June 9th, Kiwanis celebrated the success of the event, which drew over 3,000 attendees, with the many community partners that made the event happen. The Kidz Expo was created as a replacement to a popular family outing called Quarry Quest, and is a free family event that looks to bring fun, be educational, and help kids be adventurous.
Along with celebrating the Kidz Expo, the breakfast was also an opportunity to distribute funds to the community partners to say thanks. Donations included the following:
Fox Valley Technical College Foundation (designated for the Early Childhood Learning Program) - $2,000
Fox Cities YMCA - $1,000
The Building for Kids - $250
Best Friends of Neenah-Menasha - $250
Weis Earth Science Museum - $250
Wisconsibs - $250
Wisconsin Army Cadets - $250
Wisconsin Honors - $250
