The Appleton Fox Cities Kiwanis Club, in partnership with Northshore Bank welcomed over 4,000 attendees to the 5th Annual Fox Cities Kidz Expo held April 15th in downtown Appleton. This year's theme "A Day in Motion", was chosen to create a welcoming environment that provides a combination of recreation and education while promoting family bonding and togetherness. Our vision was that “A Day in Motion” would provide us the opportunity to promote other local businesses and family resources and give back to the community by offering a free, family-friendly event.
This year the Fox Cities Kidz Expo provided more than 70 activity booths, displays and activities, mascots, balloon artists, community service vehicles, food concessions, and face painters that engaged with attendees throughout the event, and an entertainment stage that was active with demonstrations, music, magic, dancing, and fun. Again, this year were scheduled Kiwanis ‘n Cops ‘n Kids Program readings to connect attendees to other Kiwanis children-focused initiatives.
The goal of the Appleton Fox Cities Kiwanis Club when the Fox Cities Kidz Expo was created was to provide a free event for families that was educational, fun and adventurous and that goal was achieved gain this year. The Appleton Fox Cities Kiwanis Club believes that the Fox Cities Kidz Expo is becoming an established part of the fabric of our community, and we look forward to providing the event again in 2024.
