The One Stop Elf Shop Shoppers

Fellow Kiwanians will be an Elf for a day as we support the One Stop Elf Shop in Downtown Appleton.

The Elf Shop is a kid friendly shop where children can purchase gifts from downtown businesses for Mom, Dad or their siblings.

We are looking for confident volunteers to assist children as they navigate the shopping process for the Elf Shop on December 4th & December 5th.

Open Hours:
December 4th 3pm-8 pm
December 5th 9 am-3 pm

Location: Conference Room in the Hilton Appleton Paper Valley Hotel

Volunteers should be comfortable doing simple math and communicating with children and parents. To give you a rough idea of what the event looks like from your perspective:

• When a family arrives, they will be assigned an Elf Helper (you) - The Elf Helper will give the adult a simple form to help the child fill out that will ask for their budget, who they are shopping for and any gift ideas.
• The parent may opt to provide cash to the child at this time, or request to pay with a card after the child is done shopping.
• Then the Elf Helper will bring the child into the Elf Shop and assist as they shop. You will help to track their expected total, help them find gifts for whoever they are shopping for, and bring them to the check-out station when they are done.
• The A.D.I. team will handle the check-out process, then you can help guide the child back to their parent/adult that will likely be waiting in the hallway.
